Laboratory Technician/Technologist - MLT/MLS/MT

Position: Laboratory Technician/Technologist MLT/MLS/MT

Skills and Duties:

• Responsible for the accurate and precise performance of laboratory procedures, and the reporting of the same to the proper physician or medical record on a timely basis.
• Responsible for maintaining the laboratory work place, including equipment and records in good working order; and maintaining a positive image of the laboratory and hospital to the patients, community and co-workers.
• Directly responsible to the Laboratory Director.
• Daily contact with co-workers and other hospital personnel, medical staff, patients/residents, and visitors.
• Must be able to work independently.

Qualifications:

• MLT or MLS/MT required
• Experience or willingness to train in all areas of the lab. Microbiology, molecular, urinalysis, hematology, serology, chemistry/IA, blood bank, coagulation. Experience in phlebotomy preferred but not required
• BLS required
