SUMMARY:
Supervise all activity relating to the Screening Department and to coordinate/work with: Management, Customer Service, Warehouse personnel, and Purchasing. Supervise all activities relating to screen making, reclaim, ink mixing, rackers, operators including scheduling materials and supplies required in the department by performing the following duties;
DUTIES:- Inspect printed products to verify conformance to specifications and direct set up and adjustment of equipment
- Review production schedules and estimate time required to complete printing jobs
- Interpret and enforce company policies, safety and health regulations and hazardous waste regulations
- Review job orders and assign jobs to department personnel
- Establish or adjust work hours to meet production schedules
- Inspect, and approve press set-ups. Monitors press operations including color matching, registration and print quality.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and print quality
- Analyze and resolve work problems, and assist subordinates in solving work problems
- Initiate or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve established goals
- Maintain timekeeping system on employees
- Maintain production records
- Confer with department supervisors or lead persons to coordinate activities of the departments involved
- Perform duties of workers supervised when necessary
- Interview, hire and train employees
- Complete written performance appraisals and meet with employees to suggest areas needing improvement and acknowledge areas where employee is achieving or exceeding objectives. Recommend wage adjustments.
- Administer disciplinary action, when necessary, with the cooperation of the Production Manager
- Address complaints and resolve problems
- Be familiar with and apply all aspects of the ISO Quality System that pertains to the Screen-Printing Department
- Provide leadership and direction in meeting safety/health and environmental goals
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
- Must have 1-2 years experience with screening process
- 3- 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

- Language Skills: Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general information pertaining to the job. Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, and be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and other employees.
- Reasoning Ability: Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Must have the ability to apply information and variables learned from one task or project to other similar situations.
