Job Description
Automotive Service Lane Manager - Large CDJR Dealership
- Service advisor/manager experience required
- Ensure that advisors are following departmental processes, including proper customer handling, tablet utilization, electronic MPIs, history and contact info validation, e-invoicing, RO reviews, status updates by text, email collection, and a superior active delivery process
- Train, motivate, manage, and monitor performance of service department staff
- Provide technical assistance to employees as needed
- Quality check completed jobs
- Ensure shop equipment is properly maintained and repaired
- Monitor and improve customer satisfaction
- Ensure customer complaints, etc. are dealt with fairly and quickly
- Ensure service department employees follow safety policies
- Assists Service Manager as needed
- Answers technical questions about vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs
- Oversees service orders
- Assists in diagnosing vehicle problems
- Maintains service porter’s duties and responsibilities
- Oversees administration of warranty claims
- Oversees training and supervising of service department employees
- Works with upper management and Human Resources to make service department hiring and discipline decisions
- Sets schedules and assigns tasks to service department employees
- Maintains CSI at or above company targets
- Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
- Other duties as assigned
- Advisor / Manager experience is required
