Job Description
Wells Brothers Inc. (WBI) is an Industrial Contractor located in Anna, Ohio. Panel Control Inc. (PCI) is a manufacturer of Industrial Control Panels and Specialty Cable/Wire Harnesses. We are looking for an experienced Human Resource Generalist to join our growing team at WBI & PCI. To excel in this role, you need to be passionate about the development and well-being of employees, have an approachable personality, high level of integrity, and an all-in-attitude regardless of the task.
What You Will Be Contributing:
- Promote, support, and encourage the organization’s mission of WALK-IN-T.R.U.T.H.™
- Benefits administration
- Assist in the employee performance management system and the associated administrative tasks
- Handle employee relations issues which includes maintaining a positive and productive environment, coaching employees, and handling tough conversations as needed.
- Assist with supervisor/manager leadership training and lunch-and-learns
- Leave management including workers compensation, STD, LTD, and FMLA
- Continued development and delivery of our excellent onboarding program
- Assist with HR policy/procedure development, guidance, and interpretation
- Oversee drug & alcohol testing program including pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable cause & random testing
- Assist with recruiting including job fairs and student events as necessary
- Help employees with day-to-day requests
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Note: This is an on-site position versus remote.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Solid understanding of HR best practices, policies, and procedures with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion
- Skilled at balancing both company and employee needs
- Experience with interpreting and applying the appropriate sections of applicable laws, regulations, and policies including benefit-related ones
- Strong in organization, open and honest communications, and conflict resolution
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including strong excel experience
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management preferred, but not required
- 5+ years of HR experience in a generalist role
- 3+ years of benefit administration experience
- ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus
- Experience with Leave management (Workers Comp/FMLA/STD/LTD)
- Experience with training on HR topics
- Industrial Contracting and/or Construction experience a plus, but not required
