COMMERCIAL MOVER

The Commercial mover position is central to the Commercial Moving department by executing their tasks in a professional manner. Their daily tasks range according to project assignment and scope, but their core position responsibilities are all related to “moving” customer assets – including, but not limited to, loading, unloading, lifting, pushing, placing, and/or packing, unpacking. Qualified candidates must work well with others, be willing and able to take direction, and be physically able to regularly lift 50+ pounds. This position will start out as part-time with the possibility of going full-time in the future

Position Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned project tasks using appropriate safety techniques and equipment
• Exercise a high level of care & caution when handling customer assets so as not to damage client belongings or surrounding property.
• Adhere to all directions given by crew leads and/or direct supervisors.
• Clearly communicate urgent questions, concerns, etc. to crew leads and/or direct supervisors.  
• Maintain a positive, polite, and professional demeanor whilst working and/or engaging with the general public, customers, and coworkers.
• Be on time and in uniform for all scheduled work shifts.

• Operate move equipment safely – using it for its intended purpose/functionality only.
• Assist CHC drivers with pre- and post-shift truck maintenance procedures –
• Checking equipment in & out.
• Loading & unloading equipment, contents, etc.
• Backing drivers into docks or other areas for loading or unloading.
• Maintain a clean workspace – this includes job sites and the interiors of all company vehicles.
• Actively assist crew with all project related tasks – moving, pushing, carrying, etc.

Qualifications

• Physically able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and pull
• Ability to perform physical labor on a regular basis.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Need to have a flexible schedule – work during normal working hours as well as occasional evenings, weekends, and out of town work.
• Adherent to CH Coakleys drug and alcohol policy upon hire and throughout employment.
• High school diploma, or GED equivalent.
• Prior industry related experience preferred but not required.
