Austin Health Partners (Cedar Park Pediatric and Family Medicine) is looking for a skillful full-time Front Desk Specialist to join our clinical team. Our front desk staff promote collaboration, conversation and teamwork while providing high quality administrative support and comfort to our patients. They strive to maintain an atmosphere where our patients and families feel welcomed and supported!


Pay range $17 -$20 commensurate with experience.


Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range (or have the minimum apply to them), but rather, the exact salary will be dependent on the successful candidate's location, relevant knowledge skills, and qualifications.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Welcome patients and visitors to the office by greeting in person and on the telephone; answers inquiries or refers questions to the appropriate staff member
2. Schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time and most effective utilization of examining and treatment rooms
3. Responsible for obtaining/verifying patient demographics and verifying insurance information at each visit
4. Perform patient check in/out
5. At time of service, collect outstanding balances, uninsured/ private pay payments via cash, check or charge.
6. Perform necessary cleaning duties maintaining an orderly work environment
7. Maintain knowledge of all health forms required for each visit and verification of storage in EMR
8.Provide an exceptional customer care experience to our patients and their families.
9. Ethical conduct, confidentiality, and collaboration with the healthcare team are expected and considered essential elements of this position.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have
1 year or more of customer service experience


PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Works near others, usually within a few feet. May work in a noisy or distracting environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Certain vaccinations are required of all clinic staff.


COVID-19/FLU CONSIDERATIONS
If requested by any patient, then staff is required to wear a surgical mask. Patients are strongly encouraged to wear a mask if they are experiencing any acute respiratory symptoms or have a fever. Employees who are not flu-vaccinated will be required to wear a mask in all patient facing areas from September 1 to March 1st unless dates are modified due to clinical factors (unusual epidemic patterns, etc).


EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Day time and evening shifts available.
