Line and Prep Cook

Overview:

Jake's On The Lakes is seeking part-time line and prep cooks to join our team of kitchen staff with a primary focus on weekday mornings and lunch, but with some flexibility to ensure that the quality and consistent products are being delivered to our guests while also adhering to our well defined operating procedures.

Qualifications:

• 2 years experience in the restaurant industry.
• The ability to lift and/or carry a 40 lb load, and also handle heavy beer kegs in a safe
• In depth menu knowledge is necessary to ensure safe service to guests with allergies and restrictions.

Responsibilities:

• Making sure the food comes out in a high quality and consistent manner.
• Responsible for complying with all food and beverage health, liquor and safety regulations.
• Be accountable for maintaining a working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients, and what is unavailable for the day.
• Provide input to Management concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of attention.
• Ensures kitchen products and supplies are well stocked.
• Maintain clean and organize kitchen areas.
• Complete required side work prior to shift end.
• Will have the opportunity to collaborate on future menu offerings.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
