Job Description

Key Role Description

Responsible for all Materials Management and Warehouse ("MM/WH") activities and supervision of related personnel, including the Warehouse Lead. Acts as primary interface with the Supply Chain Leader and other support functions (IT, Finance, Safety and Legal) as well as with Stakeholders, including; Operations, Maintenance, Technical and Projects teams and Refinery/MIPC Leadership, regarding all MM/WH related matters.

Role Specific Competencies

At Monroe, we have identified eleven specific competencies we expect all leaders of our organization to possess. These competencies are incorporated in our Selection, Performance Management/Review and Developmental processes. The competencies and activities for this role are detailed, as follows:

Technical Knowledge - demonstrates the specific skills necessary for the assignments, understands the background and points of leverage to be effective in the role.
* Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of all Materials Management personnel, including the Warehouse Lead:
o Provides guidance and leadership to the MM/WH team for addressing day-to-day operational challenges;
o Develops and manages execution of material support for Turnarounds and other Large Capital Projects;
o Owns interface with planners from stakeholder organizations, with specific focus on daily Maintenance Planning (either directly or indirectly, via delegation).
* Reviews, updates and implements MM/WH guidelines, and identifies and implements process improvements for all areas of responsibility, as applicable.
* Collaborates with counterparts in the Maintenance, IT and Finance Departments, as required, to develop and maintain processes and procedures that assure all Materials Management operations, inclusive of inventory transactions, are executed and recorded properly within company systems (e.g. Maximo, SAP, Microsoft SharePoint and Ariba):

o Represents SCM, as required, on projects / initiatives aimed at improving Monroe's Materials Management systems-e.g. Maximo Improvement Team;
* Aligns MM/WH planning and initiatives with broader Supply Chain Management strategies and plans in service of department and company goals;
o Leads MM/WH development and execution of inventory optimization strategies and collaborates with other SCM team members and stakeholders to meet related company objectives.

Experience and Skills

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
* 10 years of relevant work experience, including functional responsibilities for Materials Management / Warehouse operations in organizations of varying size and complexity.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven record of team leadership.
* Sound knowledge of Materials Management and Warehouse best practices.
* Strong organizational and time management skills and adept at multi-tasking. Capable of prioritizing effectively in a complex environment and delivering against varying deadlines.
* Excellent customer service orientation, as well as interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with direct reports, co-workers, internal & external stakeholders and company leadership.
* Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel with working knowledge of ERP systems.
* Demonstrated proficiency in all Role Specific Competencies.

Preferred Qualifications
* 10+ years of relevant experience working in a continuous process industry, such as Oil & Gas Refining, Petrochemical, or Chemical Processing.
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.
* Experience developing and implementing Materials Management & Warehouse workflows and related procedures.
* Experience leading Materials Management support for Turnarounds and Capital Projects of varying size and complexity.
* Proven track record as a Change Agent in the aforementioned areas.
* Experience working with Maximo, SAP, Ariba, Track and Microsoft SharePoint platforms.
* Risk Management experience.
