A large healthcare organization is seeking a Nurse Manager Trauma Services to oversee their bustling Trauma Program in the Kansas City Area.

The Nurse Manager of Trauma and Emergency will report to the Emergency and Acute Care Services Nurse Director .  The Trauma Services Manager will be supported by 2 supervisors, and will directly manager 40 trauma nurses, 2 injury Prevention Nurses and a Trauma Registrar.

This well regarded non profit medical Center has a 40+ bed Emergency department, which sees approximately 80,000 annual patient visits, of which 1500 are trauma cases.  The Trauma Manager will oversee the 24-hour supervision of the Emergency and Trauma Departments which feature state of the art equipment, and top of the line technology.

The Experienced Nurse Manager ED will be responsible for directing all clinical and operational aspects of the emergency department.  The Nurse Manager will oversee all staff hiring, retention, and performance, while also creating and implementing performance and safety improvement procedures.  The Assistant Trauma Director will be responsible for business development, structuring budgets, supply chain management, and overall program development.

The RN Trauma Program Manager will act as Chair of the Trauma Committee and attend continuing education seminars to keep abreast of current trends in Trauma Care.

The RN Trauma Program Manager will develop, implement and maintain a system of care for Trauma patients and their families across the continuum of care. The RN Trauma Program Manager will follow Trauma patients from injury to rehabilitation.
