Job Details

Our organization is seeking an entry level Payroll Specialist to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our company's payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, and complying with all relevant laws and regulations. This role will also involve working closely with our Human Resources and Finance departments, providing a critical link between these key areas of our business.

Responsibilities:
1. Managing the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes for payroll.
2. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
3. Coordinating with HR to ensure correct employee data.
4. Managing garnishments, benefits, and taxes accurately for each employee.
5. Reviewing and processing payroll changes including but not limited to: new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
6. Preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
7. Handling 401K contributions, loans, and other aspects related to it.
8. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
9. Managing FMLA and other leave programs.
10. Responding to and resolving payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees.

Qualifications:
1. 1+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a similar role.
2. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
