Come join our team as the Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) in our St Petersburg branch and take your career to a level unattainable in a traditional bank environment! As the ABM, you will provide critical support to the Branch Manager by providing leadership through efficient daily operations in all areas of banking services. You will help manage and develop the branch team and serve customers by providing exceptional customer service with the highest degree of accuracy and professionalism, all while fully exploring customer needs and offering appropriate products and services. When the Branch Manager is out developing business, you will oversee the branch and are expected to confidently and expertly run the branch in their absence.

Job Responsibilities


  • Support manager in efforts to reach profit, performance, and customer service goals.
  • Thoroughly understand all products and services offered.
  • Actively listen to the needs of prospects and clients and promptly respond to customer requests.
  • Proactively cross-sell all CFB banking products tailored to the prospect/ client needs.
  • Coach less experienced staff to improve their sales/operational skills for the betterment of the individual, the team, and the bank.
  • Handle/follow up on customer grievances and research items in accordance with Bank policy.
  • Open and close the branch; maintain and stay abreast of security policies and procedures; test security equipment, oversee teller and vault cash audits; understand and follow procedures in case of robbery or other emergency; enforce dual controls procedures at all times.
  • Adopt and practice a commitment to social, economic, environmental, and racial justice.
  • Demonstrate interest in contributing to and working by Climate First Bank's core values.
  • Possess the initiative to obtain education related to sustainability practices.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and follow established Bank policies, procedures, and regulations, cognizant of transactions, inquiries that appear suspicious, obtaining reasonable and verifiable explanations, notifying the Compliance Officer when necessary; completion of all web-based compliance training; resolution of all issues concerning BSA report reviews of suspicious activity and or cash transactions.


Specific Requirements:


  • Excellent sales, interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Prior consumer lending experience preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Educated in financial products and services, banking regulations and laws.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Local to St Petersburg
