Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Lead Person, the Maintenance Mechanic performs maintenance work on equipment to maintain production operations and enhance an efficient safe plant operation.
What’s Needed?
Job Duties/Essential Functions:
- Provide prompt response to trouble calls, diagnose issues, and implement necessary remedies. Document completed tasks for record-keeping.
- Efficiently and safely repair or replace equipment and apparatus. Document completed tasks and the time required for each.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, thoroughly documenting completed work, time taken, and any identified deficiencies.
- Perform greasing and oiling of machinery as part of routine maintenance procedures.
- Conduct daily checks on air compressors, making necessary adjustments as required.
- Perform maintenance tasks on forklifts as needed, ensuring their optimal functionality.
- Contribute to the maintenance activities in the Waste Water Pre-Treatment Plant.
- Fulfill additional daily duties as required in the absence of others.
- Undertake the startup and shutdown procedures for equipment, involving the proper energizing and de-energizing of equipment.
