EMR USA has an opening for a Cashier/Scale Operator/Floater in Mobile, Al. This person will be responsible for paying out tickets, learning to operate the truck scale to weigh trucks in and out and be willing and able to travel to our facilities located in Pensacola, Fl. And Gulfport, Ms. to fill in while other cashier’s and scale operators have scheduled time off. Travel can be anywhere from a daily to a weekly basis. The company will pay for overnight expense and mileage. To be successful, this person must have computer experience and be able to maintain accurate records. Ultimately, an outstanding Cashier has great customer service and organizational skills.

II.                Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Pay out customer tickets and learn to operate truck scale.
  • Maintain accurate accounting of all cash and check balances.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all dealers, vendors & customers.
  • Input all transaction data into manufacturing software.
  • Maintain all associated files related to transactions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

III.             Required Skills / Abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Personal computer experience.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written form
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, physical, and drug screening

 

IV.             Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years’ experience in customer service

 

V.                Other Job Demands

While performing the essential functions of this job, the Cashier/Scale Operator will be working in an office environment. The Cashier/Scale Operator will be required to operate a computer and other office devices such as telephones, copy machines, etc. The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. This job also requires frequent bending, kneeling, and standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in confined spaces.
