Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and use of honing machinery, laser etching machinery and optical comparator.
- Set up and operates related tool room equipment, such as mills, lathes, multiple types of grinders, and drills to meet specifications.
- Prepares tool packs.
- Fabricates machine parts & tooling
- Understands and has knowledge of progressive die assembly.
- Maintains 6S requirements for work area.
- Prepares semi-finished blanks of carbide or steel.
- Start-up department for producing inhouse dies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Experience Required:
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form. Deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Practical application of fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion.
- Ability to read and write following quality instructions and related postings. Must be able to communicate technical information between tool design and manufacturing activities.
