Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Reports to: Executive Director

SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Consult with other team members (e.g. Classroom Teachers, direct staff, therapists, parents, etc) to optimize delivery of services in areas such as identifying reinforcers, utilizing motivation systems, prompting strategies, data collection systems, task analyses, and provide coaching to staff based on BCBA recommendations
  • Provide direct behavioral services such as conducting functional behavior assessments, develop behavior intervention plans, provide direct intervention, etc
  • Train staff on behavioral procedures to ensure consistency and integrity in the administration of behavior intervention plans
  • Work collaboratively with other members of clients’ teams (e.g., Teachers, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, direct staff, administrators, parents, etc) to provide necessary supports and ensure adequate progress
  • Perform other professional duties as needed to support the functions of the department.

The Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) must be able to prioritize, organize and communicate with all levels of the organization. They should be able to maintain confidentiality, be a critical thinker, as well as be concise and detail-oriented. You must have a positive demeanor, and great customer service skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

The Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) position is located within our Special Education Department. You will be in the midst of activity and energy. This position is: 

  • A good fit for applicants with gaps in their resume, or who have been out of the workforce for the past 6 months or more
  • A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education
  • A job for all ages, including older job seekers, are encouraged to apply 


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • US work authorization
  • Masters degree
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a Missouri License to practice Behavior Analysis

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Experience working in a school setting 
  • Experience supporting clients within a consultative model of ABA service provision 
  • First Aid/CPR certification
