Job Description
  • Adheres to infection control in all aspects of patient care.
  • Adheres to HIPAA and privacy rules and regulations.
  • Answers patient telephone calls and communicates with patients regarding items required for clinic visits, including, but not limited to completion of outstanding laboratory orders, diagnostic orders, and insurance referrals.
  • Performs patient scheduling of clinic visits within the EMR, in accordance with Standard Operating Proceduresand participates in the confirmation of upcoming visits.
  • Performs vitals, medication reconciliation, verification of the existence of laboratory results and ensures each are accurately entered into the electronic health record.
  • Reduces lost to follow up patients by following up with patients who miss appointments and reschedules patients when appropriate.
  • Maintains clean and orderly examination rooms and work areas.
  • Identifies and documents the inventory of clinical supplies. Assists with or reorders as needed.
  • Performs filing.
  • Performs entry into required electronic systems.
  • Maintains business and sponsor confidentiality.
  • Performs other additional duties as requested.
