PROCUREMENT ASSOCIATE INTERN

The following hourly pay rates reflect the anticipated base pay for this position:

If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Associate-level degree: $16.00 per hour

If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Undergraduate-level degree: $20.00 per hour

If the selected candidate is a student pursing a Graduate-level degree: $32.50 per hour

If the selected candidate is a student pursuing a Doctorate-level degree: $36.00 per hour

Role Description:

Procurement is a key provider to company growth as we are responsible for improving and optimizing costs and delivering monetary savings to the business. The key contributor of the procurement associate position will be responsible for the following in this role:

• Support for sourcing activities - pull specifications for RFPs.
• Supplier score card creation and assist with quarterly business reviews.
• Process optimization on day-to-day tasks while creating SOPs on procurement activities.
• Negotiation strategies.
• Special projects and collaboration with finance teams - strategize on reporting functions such as purchase price variance reports, latest estimates, etc

Internship Qualifications:

• Major: bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field
• Desired Class Year: Sophomore or Junior
• Strong desire for process improvement and strategic decision making. Proficient with Office tools (Excel, Access, etc.). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and communication skills
