Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Field Technician Labor position is primarily responsible for the daily field maintenance of temporary basecamp operations. Duties could include (but are not limited to)

 

· Basic site and equipment repairs.

· Plumbing pipe, pumps, and water storage installation and removal.

· Assist with packing, staging, loading, and unloading trucks and equipment.

· Keeping tools, equipment, and supplies organized.

· Basic computer skills for asset tracking in asset tracking system.

· Perform a variety of general labor tasks, including facility and grounds maintenance, general cleaning, trash removal, organizing, mowing, trim work, and laundry.

· Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Supervisory Responsibility:

· This position has no supervisory responsibilities but may be responsible for training others.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

· Strong organizational skills.

· Experience with material handling equipment preferred.

· Knowledge of safe working practices.

· Ability to read and interpret owner’s manuals, equipment schematics, and work orders.

· Ability to speak, read, and write clearly in English.

· Valid driver’s license required; Have and maintain a clean driving record (able to drive company vehicles. A driver’s operator record will be reviewed).

· Basic computer proficiency using Microsoft Office; Experience using WASP Barcode Technologies or another asset management system a plus.

· Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

· High School diploma or GED preferred.

· 1 year experience in maintenance position desired.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable):

· Must be able to travel within the Continental United States.

· Must pass drug test, motor vehicle record check and background after accepting conditional offer of employment.

· Must possess a valid driver’s license. Have/maintain a clean driving record. CDL is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.

· Able to work in workshops, facility, and field operations; Able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.

· Able to use standard office equipment, hand tools, site equipment, and vehicles and is required to wear standard PPE which will be provided by the company.

· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

· Able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; Able to reach, pull, twist, turn, bend, lift, kneel, climb; Able to stand, walk, or sit up to 8 hours per day.

· Able to travel (at organization expense) via vehicle and/or aircraft.

· Able to work in all types of weather (heat, cold, rain, snow) as operations may occur in all areas of the US with potential for overseas travel.

· Travel up is required; Able to travel to job sites to assist with equipment maintenance and rehabilitation dependent on contract load and disaster response; Ability to travel to sites and stay for extended periods based on contract needs is required
