SCADA Specialist I ($25.78 - $37.39 per hour):
SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, performs maintenance of the Authority’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) related systems.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Identifies and completes resolution of failures; performs preventative maintenance; and knowledgeable in troubleshooting and repair activities on SCADA equipment.
- SCADA equipment can include but is not limited to:
- Programmable Logic Controllers
- Remote terminal units
- Power Supplies
- Relays
- Breakers
- Fiber Optic and Radio Communications
- Various field devices with I/O
- SCADA equipment can include but is not limited to:
- Works in and around water treatment plants, water booster pump stations, production wells, water storage tanks, wastewater treatment plants, wastewater pump stations and effluent disposal sites.
- Performs other duties as required within the scope of responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma, 2 years experience of SCADA experience or equivalent experience in related fields.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
SCADA SPECIALIST II ($29.06 - $43.59 per hour):
SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, performs maintenance of the Authority’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) related systems.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Identifies and completes resolution of failures; performs preventative maintenance; and knowledgeable in troubleshooting and repair activities on SCADA equipment.
- SCADA equipment can include but is not limited to:
- Programmable Logic Controllers
- Remote terminal units
- Power Supplies
- Relays
- Breakers
- Fiber Optic and Radio Communications
- Various field devices with I/O
- SCADA equipment can include but is not limited to:
- Works in and around water treatment plants, water booster pump stations, production wells, water storage tanks, wastewater treatment plants, wastewater pump stations and effluent disposal sites.
- Trains and develops Authority staff in proper application and use of SCADA equipment.
- Coordinates jobs with vendors and contractors to minimize the impact to operations/maintenance staff.
- Performs other duties as required within the scope of responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school Diploma, 5 years experience with SCADA equipment or equivalent experience in related fields. Associates Degree in Electronics or related field preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
