This position is based out of Feeding America's Chicago office location in the heart of downtown Chicago. At Feeding America, we believe in offering a flexible work environment. Interns can be in the office an average of 2 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday) and work from home on other days

The internship program is designed to give you an opportunity to complement your formal education with career-related experience and is open to current undergraduates, individuals starting their graduate degree in the fall and current graduate students. The internship will provide a stimulating and substantive work experience, coupled with an experience to expand your knowledge and understanding of Feeding America.

The Opportunity

The intern will support the work of the Learning and Engagement Team. Our team plans and executes in person and virtual conferences, manages a learning management system which has learning resources and assets, and we have a learning design team which focuses on the learner in designing courses and training material.

  • Support Feeding America's Excellence in Finance and Human Resources Convening planning, coordination, and enhancements. Duties may include Planning and leading focus groups, synthesizing data, and taking notes.

  • Support Feeding America's virtual Unite Conference planning and coordination. Duties may include: collecting and organizing session and speaker information and materials and providing attendees support during the live event.

  • Support Feeding America's Fall Forum planning and coordination. Duties may include: Collecting and organizing session and speaker information and materials.

  • Analyze virtual learning event (webinar) reports and participant feedback to improve future broadly accessible learning offerings, identifying key themes, topics and types of events that are most effective and valuable to the food bank network.

  • Identify benchmarks and make recommendations on when content would be retired or updated based on user feedback.

  • Support the rollout of new standard operating procedures across the Learning Team pertaining to the management and updating of learning assets and/or convenings.

Internship Duration

  • 06/04/24 through 08/23/24 (12 weeks total - 40 hours per week)

Hourly Salary

  • $16 - Undergraduate Students
  • $17 - Students between Undergrad and Graduate school (starting Grad school in the Fall)
  • $18 - Graduate Students

Requirements

  • Possible areas of graduate or undergraduate study: Research, Evaluation, Data Analysis, Learning Development, Human-Centered Design, Learning Technology, Education, Organization Development, Talent Management, Instructional Design
  • Experience in: data analytics, program assessment and evaluation, human centered-design, learning and development, training, educational theory, learning design, adult education,
  • Preferred Technology Skills: Qualtrics, Microsoft Excel
