  • Expand Spotfire's Analytics, Data Science, and Streaming presence within existing accounts.
  • Provide valuable feedback to Engineering based on real-world usage patterns.
  • Respond to written prospect requests (RFI, RFP) with technical architecture presentations and solutions.
  • Conduct sizing estimates for customer deployments.
  • Lead hands-on design work during the evaluation (Proof of Concept) phase.
  • Install, configure, demonstrate, and troubleshoot Spotfire products.
  • Demonstrate application migration to various cloud architectures.
  • Articulate competitive solution/product differentiators to customers and the sales team.
  • Ensure successful integration of Spotfire products post-sale.
  • Actively engage with team members and consultants, offering timely reporting as required.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing Spotfire's effectiveness in Sales.
  • Develop white papers, product demonstrations, technical presentations, and social media content.
  • Participate in industry conferences to network with customers and promote Spotfire.
  • Conduct internal Knowledge Share sessions on industry trends and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL.
  • Thorough understanding of the Command of the Message sales methodology.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Domain knowledge and a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the Energy industry including oil and gas, electricity, coal, and renewable sources. If the experience is in the field of analytics for the industry, it would be a plus.
  • Fluency in English with a preference also for Spanish and Portuguese.
  • Ideally have hands-on experience with Spotfire and Streaming.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of pre-sales experience in advanced data analytics and delivering demonstrations, projects, engagements, or deployed software applications.
  • Experience applying advanced analytics, including machine learning and optimization techniques, to large, complex, and disparate data sources.
  • Capability to translate real-world problems into mathematical equivalents, propose solutions, compare and contrast them, deploy solutions, validate results, and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills with data, enabling effective communication with senior industry personnel and delivering compelling presentations and demonstrations of analytics software.
  • Experience with cloud implementations, particularly Kubernetes, is highly desired.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key areas for improvement and develop data-driven solutions.
  • A Master's or higher degree in STEM (Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Science, or related analytical field) with graduate coursework in statistics and data mining.

Compensation:

  • In addition to the base salary, additional rewards, including annual bonuses and sales incentives, may be available based on individual performance and the terms of the applicable plan and role.
  • Benefits may vary depending on employment nature and location, with U.S.-based employees typically offered access to healthcare, life insurance, disability benefits, 401(k) plans, and more.
