The Emergency Nurse Educator will enjoy working in this active unit which is a Level II Trauma Center and an accredited Advanced Stroke Center. Patients range in age, from pediatric to adult. In this comprehensive role, the Emergency Services RN Educator will have the opportunity to enhance their leadership acumen, while acting as a mentor for all newly hired nursing employees. The ER Nurse Educator will provide hands-on training for the RN staff and residents with simulations, labs, and patient care and ensure all competencies are met before the residents are released from orientation. This Educator will provide evaluations, feedback, and support throughout the orientation process while working closely with the trainees and the Nurse Manager. The Emergency Services RN Educator will have the opportunity to participate in unit councils, give feedback, and ensure that best practices are followed. Candidates with their CEN, ED-specific experience, and past teaching experience will earn quick interviews.
