Having started and sold Florida Choice Bank and First Green Bank, Mr. LaRoe has launched Climate First Bank as a built to last, values based, financial institution. Our first branch opened for business on June 1, 2021, in St. Petersburg, Florida and we have since expanded into the Central Florida market.

We are searching for a Commercial Lending Assistant to support our Commercial Lenders in the St. Petersburg market. As a Commercial Lending Assistant you will be expected to assist the GGL and Commercial Lending Departments with the loan application and closing processes. In addition, you will be assisting with ongoing customer relationship needs.

Job Responsibilities

* Coordinate loans for closing and ensure loans are closed accurately and on time;

* Assist with the Lending Application process through prequalification activities, gathering financials and underwriting documentation;

* Collaborate with underwriting, loan operations and communicate with customers in a pleasant and efficient manner;

* Maintain reports to accurately and efficiently track financial statement exceptions, maturities and other required reports;

* Proactively promote the Bank and refer DDA accounts to the branch

* Proactively promote the Bank and its mission incl. solar loan referrals;

* Possess the initiative to obtain education related to ESG and sustainability practices;

* Comply with all federal and state laws and regulations as well as internal Bank policies and procedures;

Specific Requirements:

* Prior commercial lending experience is required;

* Bachelor's degree in business or finance preferred;

* Excellent sales, interpersonal, and communication skills;

* Educated in financial products and services, banking regulations and laws;

* Salesforce experience preferred;

Physical Demands:

* Sustained standing and sitting;

* Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor;

* Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs.
