The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the direction of a qualified professional nurse. Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, within the objectives, standards, and policies of the department and within the parameters of the licensing board. Communicates and works collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team i.e., medical staff, administration, clinicians, dietitians, and milieu personnel. Takes reasonable care and precautions to ensure high client safety standards and a therapeutic environment exist.

Weekday Night Shift: $2/hour
Weekend Day Shift: $3.50/hour
Weekend Night Shift: $4.50

Shift Information:

* Night Shift: 6:30pm-7:00am

What you will do as an LPN:

* Receive and store all orders from pharmacy in accordance with facility policies
* Take and record patient vital signs according to schedule and policy
* Assess patient symptoms regularly, report condition changes to physician if change in care plan may be necessary
* Dispense medications to patients as needed, according to schedule, and in line with facility policies
* Respond to medical emergencies and call physician as needed for orders
* Provide client care with minimal supervision. Adapt to assignments based on unit need. Independently recognize and assume additional responsibility.
* Demonstrate ability to perform procedures and skills in a safe and accurate manner; able to perform complex procedures and skills independently or with minimal supervision.
* Prepares, administers, controls and accurately records medications in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed practical nurse, with thorough documentation regarding administration effect and/or adverse effects.
* Safely and accurately performs vital signs, electrocardiograms, phlebotomy/labs, and diabetic/glucose monitoring. Interprets results and takes appropriate nursing action.
* Manage unit when in charge; handle unusual, stressful, complex situations with minimal supervision

Qualifications we seek in our Nurses:

* Current Indiana or compact LPN or RN licensure.
* Must have current CPR/First Aid Certification and CPI.
* Chemical Dependency Treatment preferred
* Personal passion or interest in substance abuse issues strongly preferred
