UH Parma 9 West can hold 24 patients, featuring 20 private rooms and 2 semi-private rooms.

COMMON DIAGNOSES: CHF Exacerbation, Stroke, COPD Exacerbation, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR, Chest Pain, Post Cardiac Catheterization, Pacemakers, Hypo/Hypertension, Urinary Tract Infection, Sepsis, Acute and Chronic Kidney Failure.

Shifts Available: Full-Time Days and Full-Time Nights

Position Summary

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

Essential Functions

·         Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.

·         Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.

·         Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.

1 year RN experience preferred. 

Education

·         Other Accredited Program Diploma in Nursing or

·         (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing Required

·         (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred

·         (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

·         Knowledge of nursing process and practice required.

·         Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (i.e. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices required.

Licenses and Certifications

·         Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio and Basic Life Support (BLS) required

·         Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Adult and Pediatric Advanced Life Support may be required based on clinical area standards.
