The Manufacturing Engineer Intern position will be located in our Plant 3, Whitehall Casting Operation in Whitehall, MI.
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our Plant 3 team as a Manufacturing Engineer Summer Intern. This position will assist engineering with plant floor layout reconstruction, 5S projects and standardized work development.
The 2024 Summer Internship Program also includes: lunch & learns presented by senior leaders, tours of our manufacturing plants & processes, networking opportunities, volunteering in the local community, and fun social activities to connect with fellow interns.

Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial) from an accredited institution
- AutoCAD, CAD/CAM, and Solidworks experience a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of investment casting manufacturing process a plus
- Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus
