AET is actively seeking highly motivated students pursuing a degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related field in one of our many locations throughout the Midwest in Summer 2024. AET is searching for candidates that have the ability to be a role model, be client-focused, be impactful and be decisive.

Receive training from our respected engineers and technicians in the areas of construction materials testing and field observations to go beyond what you’ve learned in the classroom in your engineering or geology coursework.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in testing procedures/equipment such as gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, and concrete cylinder testing.
  • Assist with field testing and/or observations of construction materials, including concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, and reinforcing steel.
  • Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors at work sites.
  • Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Pursuing an Engineering, Geology, or related degree
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 30-50 pounds.
