The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an academic Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgeon to join the Department of Surgery. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.

Position Overview
The Department of Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an exceptional full-time early- to -mid-career faculty with expertise in hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery to join our elite team of surgeons in the Division of Surgical Oncology. The accomplished surgeon will join an established and high-volume practice which cares for patients with benign and malignant hepatobiliary, pancreatic, biliary tract, and gastrointestinal diseases. Candidates with strong HPB robotic skills and minimally invasive surgery are preferred. Successful candidates will be fellowship-trained in oncological surgery and have expertise in hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery.  Candidates should be committed to patient care, resident, and medical student education and scholarly activity that advance clinical medicine. The position is ideal for applicants with excellent clinical outcomes and strong interpersonal skills. The individual will participate in the expansion of programmatic initiatives and research studies in collaboration with other faculty, residents, and medical students. A strong research program infrastructure exists, and there are multiple opportunities for engagement in clinical and translational research. The position will be located on our main campus at The James Comprehensive Cancer Center (The OSUCCC).

Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - faculty positions within the university that are not tenure track and not eligible for tenure, on a fixed term contract. Persons with the title of professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical, assistant professor-clinical and instructor-clinical. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty department and, as appropriate, regional campus; Clinical faculty are teachers/practitioners and will be engaged primarily in teaching activities. These faculty normally have earned a doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field or equivalent experience.

Tenured faculty (regardless of rank) - persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor, and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty member’s tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service, and/or teaching or clinical practice.  These faculty will have earned a doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience.

Requirements
Successful completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency
Completion of a Surgical Oncology Fellowship
Board certified/ eligible in Surgery
Demonstrated experience in basic or clinical research
Strong commitment to teaching
Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
