As part of Cooling's Engineered Air Movement group, Cincinnati Fan is a leading manufacturer of industrial fans and blowers for OEMs and industrial applications With its high attention to detail for products that are durable, energy efficient, and unparalleled in performance, companies rely on Cincinnati Fan to provide comfort and mission critical and industrial cooling solutions.

This position will complete a variety of tasks with the overall goal of creating functional metal components that meet the customer's expectations. It requires assembly of metal pieces, or repairing damage to metal components, primarily by performing MIG tack welding operations.

Tasks

  1. Ability to work from blueprints, schematics, work orders and/or assembly sketches to gather, stage and assemble products and related items.
  2. Select appropriate tools, materials, gas ratios and build fixturing/shipping brackets as needed.
  3. Prepare both metals and work surfaces for the production process.
  4. Ability to weld to specifications, and out of position, on mild steel and stainless steel including vertical up.
  5. Transfer completed product to next workstation/process using cranes and forklifts as needed.
  6. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, machines or other devised used in the normal course of the work performed.
  7. Monitor quality of work and report defective material, unusual conditions, and operating difficulties.
  8. Follow and adhere to prescribed safety regulations and procedures.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Familiarity with the most used MIG welding tools, techniques, and materials.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One-year MIG welding experience but will train for the right candidate.
