Experienced Electricians Wanted! ("Aloe Palm Canyon" Project)

Project Description:
West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation’s Aloe Palm Canyon will be new construction of 71 one-bedroom rental apartments located on N. Palm Canyon Drive in the City of Palm Springs. Of the 71 units, twenty-five (25) will be reserved as permanent supportive housing for formerly homeless seniors. The ground floor will feature a variety of common amenities organized around a central outdoor open space. Amenities will include a community room with a demonstration kitchen, a computer room/library, a fitness room, a laundry room, and a manager’s office. Three offices will be included for onsite supportive services for residents. Aloe Palm Canyon will include a shared outdoor open space on the ground level.

Job Description:
We are in need of local full-time local electricians who can commute daily to this specific project site. (Preferably candidates who live near the job-site.)
This project is Public Works and therefore Prevailing Wage Rated.

This project will take a while to be completed (1-2 years) and therefore, we do not offer project-based, part-time, seasonal, or temporary employment. Instead, we are looking for candidates who are looking for a life-long career and would like to be a part of our already-established team. As soon as this project is completed, we have other jobs lined up that we would like our employees to start on right-after.

• *** Experience is a MUST and at least one year if it is required.
• *** Compensation is by W2 check on a weekly basis.
• ****Electrician Certification Issued by CA DIR is MANDATORY!

Qualifications Include:
*Having your own vehicle to commute to work and back home on a daily basis 
*Having your own toolbox and a minimum of one year experience
*Capable of working both as a team and individual
*Being very punctual
*Being a fast learner
*Excellent organizational and time management skills

*Problem solving and accuracy
*Reliable

*Electrician certification is a MUST for this project

We also currently have certified electrician positions available for 2 active Public Works Prevailing Wage-rated projects: One in Los Angeles and one in Huntington Beach. If interested, please state your interest either on the initial phone interview or through email by sending us your valid navy-blue certified electrician pocket card issued by the State of California's DIR. Upon verification of the certification, you will be registered to work on these specific projects. (Electrician certification is a must-have for these positions.)

* We are a non-union-affiliated C-10 electrical subcontractor.
* Our projects are all multi-residential new-construction apartment buildings, so no commercial or industrial work is involved. We also do not perform any maintenance work.
* We only perform jobs on the electrical, low voltage, fire alarm, and DAS System portions of the projects.
* Any executive positions such as lead electrician, supervisor, foreman, or project manager take anywhere from 3-5 years to be offered to eligible employees. At this time being, we are only hiring regular electricians or electrician helpers.
* The only employment benefit that we are offering as of right now is the "CalSavers Retirement Program".
