JOB TITLE: Restaurant Host

JOB TYPE: Part Time

JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a host to join our amazing food and beverage team with a bright personality, welcomes guests with a big smile, and starts the guest experience beautifully. In addition, we are looking to bring on someone who shares our passion for hospitality and creating exceptional and memorable experiences. Ideal candidates are highly motivated and effective at working in a fast-paced team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Greet guests and determine the number in their party.
• Seat guests by finding a clean, available table; pulling out chairs; placing clean/current menu in front of guest, etc.
• Guide guests through the dining rooms and provide any needed assistance.
• Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings and organize seating for groups with special needs.
• Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting.
• Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and wellbeing of guests.
• Ensure the environment (i.e., lighting, music, settings, etc.) are appropriate to a successful meal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION LEVEL: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Must have a valid Food Handlers Certificate.

SKILLS AND APTITUTES: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively. High quality standards for production and service. Maintain a professional and courteous environment. Good team player. High level of morale and productivity.

The expected pay rate for this position is $16.75 per hour based on experience. This position may be eligible for additional compensation according to the Company’s policies, as they may be amended from time to time.
