LOCATION: Portsmouth, NH 

HOURLY RATE:

$29.50 - $30.50/hr. dependent on experience. Plus opportunity for overtime

Shift Differential from 12:00pm - 8:30pm = +$2.00/hr.  

SIGN ON Bonus: $2500 if hire date is between January – March 2024

SCHEDULE:   

Monday - Friday 8 hour shifts with occasional weekends:

2nd shift: 12:00pm - 8:30pm

Shift will revert back to 2:00pm - 10:30pm in the Spring when volumes are higher

ROLE SUMMARY:    

As an important member of the Wicked Weed Portsmouth Team the Maintenance Technician II will work to repair and proactively maintain equipment related to the brewing and packaging process as well as conducting facility maintenance.  

JOB DESCRIPTION:     

  • Follow all safety and policy processes throughout the brewery, including sanitary processes for food processing and HACCP

  • Maintains and repairs of all production systems and equipment which include but not limited to pumps, heat exchangers, chillers, boilers, air compressors, conveyors, packaging and process systems, and waste water systems.

  • Detects and reports to the Manager any unusual conditions, defective materials, faulty equipment, and equipment operating or installed incorrectly. 

  • Understand and troubleshoot PLC programs

  • Calibrates and alters machines according to manufacturer specifications. 

  • Documents work and calibrations using CMMS. 

  • Participates in and helps inspectors perform all annual inspections such as boilers, ASME vessels, backflow preventers, etc.

  • Understands and is familiar with LOTO/confined entry 

  • Organize and prioritize work; update the teams weekly with progress reports and action plans.  

  • Utilize AMMS to create and close work orders as well as add inventory to work orders and perform cycle counts

  • Utilize Acadia for Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) creation

  • Train operators on Operator based maintenance (OBM’s)

  • Systematically troubleshoot mechanical & electrical issues

  • Reseal/Rebuild pumps, valves, gear boxes, can/bottle lines, and filler valves as well as basic over hauls

  • Proactively performs pre-integrity testing on filters, manage spare part inventory, and checks on low voltage fuses and breakers

  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:     

  • Understands electrical power distribution and isolation

  • Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, electrical/control schematics, specifications, codes, electrical formulas, handbooks, and P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams)

  • Good mechanical aptitude and effective use of basic hand tools.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all minor mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems with minimal assistance.

  • Ability to utilize all math skills, such as basic math, geometry and algebra to complete necessary job tasks.

  • Experience with gearboxes, high-speed conveyors, bearings, mechanical seals, timing systems, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics.

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree in an industry-related science preferred.  

  • LME/Journeyman electrician certification is preferred but not required. 

  • 4+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Experience with CMMS preferred (MP2). 

  • Experience with AMMS preferred
