An award winning Southern California non profit 350 bed Medical Center is actively seeking a Nurse Manager Perioperative Services to oversee their extremely busy Surgical Services Service Line.

The Surgical Services Nurse Manager will oversee a robust department, which has 15 Operating rooms.  Annually the Medical Center performs more than 14,000 procedures, including: General, Neurological, robotic, bariatric, plastic & reconstructive, ortho, joints, sports medicine

The Perioperative Services Nurse Manager will be accountable to assure that HCAHPS, patient, employee, and physician satisfaction scores are in high ranges. The OR Manager will be accountable as a front-line supervisor for assuring all nursing staff is following the National Patient Safety Goals, Core Measure Initiatives and practice standards. 

This 350 bed Medical Center is part of a large Not For Profit Medical Group with Hospitals throughout the Region.  The Manager of Perioperative services will report to the director of Perioperative services and will oversee a team of supervisors, charge nurses, educators and staff nurses. The department has well over 150 full time employees and is one of the largest departments in the medical center. The Nurse Manager Perioperative Services will oversee Surgery, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Sterile Processing and Surgical Business Operations.

The Perioperative Services Nurse Manager oversees budgets for the complete scope of surgical services and is responsible for training, evaluating and supervising staff. The Nursing Manager of Surgery should possess a high level of clinical competency as well as leadership skills. Additionally, the Nurse Manager Perioperative Services  will assist with educating new nurses, new grads and will collaborate with the Perioperative Services Educator with continuing education of the staff.
