POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing a full range of projects, technology, and operational support to the VP of Mobility and Parking Operations Team. Responsible for complying with the operational policies and procedures established by JBG SMITH.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    Manage parking technology installation, garage improvements and various projects related to parking garages across the portfolio.
  • Manage the Parking Facilities Coordinator.
  • Remain current on all ongoing projects and knowledge of the process and procedures in the Parking Department.
  • Perform site visits to ensure garage compliance along side the Director of Parking Operatons.
  • Execute needed repair or upgrades as determined.
  • Work with various teams and designers to update wayfinding in the garages.
  • Responsible for developing and overseeing the maintenance of a master database to track all garage projects allowing seamless status updates, ongoing expenses tracking, reconciliations and comparisons.
  • Maintain and update, accrue and reforecast capital projects in Capex Connect.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all deployed parking technology.
  • Coordinate Team status meetings and attend off-site meetings with tenants and vendors as needed.
  • Identify and deploy training initiatives for the department as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison for technology and project related items with other functional areas of the company, including but not limited to i) Leasing, ii) Accounting, iii) Marketing, iv) Development v) Property Management vi) Asset Management to ensure proper communication and coordination with the Parking Department.
  • Oversee maintenance of contract log, vendor/contractor, and Certificate of Insurance information for each project.
  • Maintain and update vendor lists, manuals or instruction sheets, and act as the point of contact for all new potential vendors to ensure proper vetting through the qualification process.
  • Oversee and manage vendor invoices.
  • Manage the research and processing of invoices in Yardi, the online payment software, for review and approval.
  • Review garage plans and mark in Adobe Acrobat adding markups and comments where necessary.
  • Provide support in identifying new technology in the parking industry.
  • Work directly with IT to identify network structure and needs for each project.
  • Perform repairs where needed.
  • Train field technicians and engineering on repair and diagnostics.
  • Complete special projects.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS)

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of office experience, preferably in the development, construction, parking, design, property management or real estate industry with an intermediate understanding of the general accounting procedures, parking operations, real estate and building operations.

Technical Experience:

  • Basic project management of small construction, improvement projects.
  • Advanced word processing/Word and electronic spreadsheet/Excel skills.
  • Intermediate capabilities with other Windows programs and the operation of a PC in general.
  • Understanding of construction drawings and floorplans with knowledge in Acrobat.
  • Some familiarity with accounting software packages preferred, with the ability to learn and effectively use internal software packages such as Yardi, Capex Connect and others.
  • Strong organizational, filing and record keeping skills.
  • Analytical skills: accurately collect, interpret, organize and evaluate detailed data.
  • Project accounting skills; tracking vendor invoices and departmental AP and AR, etc.
