Job Summary:

Responsible for delivering one-on-one and small group exercise instruction to clients of all age groups. Duties include conducting initial consultations, scheduling, training clients and tracking their fitness results.

All employees will receive full training in The Exercise Coach methods.

Full-Time and Part-Time positions. Fitness coaches are compensated for every hour of their shift.

Job Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of:
    • The Exercise Coach certification (online and practical)
    • CPR/AED certification from a nationally recognized provider

 

Experience (preferred but not required):

  • Exercise Science or related degree
  • Personal Training
  • Experience working with older adults and individuals with various physical limitations
  • Selling services to prospects and re-selling them to existing clients

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial consultations, sell monthly and package sessions, and schedule client appointments.
  • Evaluate individuals' abilities and physical conditions.
  • Observe and inform individuals of corrective measures necessary for skill improvement.
  • Monitor individuals' progress and adapt training programs as needed.
  • Teach and demonstrate use of training and exercise equipment.
  • Provide clients with information and resources regarding nutrition and weight control.
  • Administration of client accounts, including the completion of all necessary forms, credit card charges, data entry and clerical duties.
  • Respond promptly to correspondence from clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Support the maintenance of a clean and well-organized studio.
