County Materials Precast has a full-time position open for a Journeyman Mason and Tender based in our Astatula, FL (40 minutes north of Orlando), location.

Job Duties

• Laying 6" and 8" block primarily at elevator fronts (Infill) in 4 story buildings
• Layout wall and bond according to plans
• Maintain clean work, float finishing and pointing in top course.
• Working off 3' scaffolding - built to OSHA standards.
• Maintain working areas in clean and orderly condition.
• Constant heavy lifting.
• Tender mixes mortar and operates power tools including wet cut saws.
• Driving company truck and pulling 16' trailer occasionally.
• Tender works as a team with the mason to maximize productivity.
• Clean up 100% when finished in an area, maintain company equipment 100%
• Ensure safety guidelines are always followed.

Work Environment

• Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures.
• Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards.
• Work in a noisy environment

Experience & Qualifications

• Local residence or willingness to relocate to FL is preferred. Lake, Sumter, or Orange County.
• Willing to travel.
• Flexible hours. Overtime available.
• Full-time position, multiple jobs.
• Transportation is available when traveling outside Lake County.
• Local work is available at the plant when not traveling.
• Prior experience in commercial mid-rise masonry is preferred.
