What you'll do:

You'll engage in full-scope optometry, catering to patients of all age groups and diverse visual and medical conditions. You'll provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages and visual and medical conditions, educate patients about their ocular health, and recommend vision-enhancing products. You can expect to see an average of 22 patients daily, working Monday through Saturday-Saturdays will be pre-planned. As a floating Optometrist, you will support all Ideal practices surrounding the Austin area on an on-call basis and fill in for any time off requests.

You're excited to work alongside other optometrists to deliver top-notch care. As a valued team member, you'll provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, visual and medical conditions, educate patients about their ocular health, and recommend vision-enhancing products. Your skills enable you to leverage state-of-the-art diagnostic technology, ensuring the utmost precision in formulating treatment recommendations. The position is full-time, offering 32 hours weekly.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices


New Grads are encouraged to apply


Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties
