Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Production Technician to join our team in Middlebranch, OH.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Provide mechanical maintenance coverage
  • Mechanical repairs, cutting/welding, repair conveyor belts, and feeders.
  • Take necessary action (report on, operate, repair, clean, feed, adjust, etc.) on plant equipment and process as required by inspections or the supervisor.
  • Checks, performs basic troubleshooting, correct if possible, reports operational equipment for parameters such as emissions, operation, pressure, cleaning cycle, etc.
  • Performs inspections on all equipment using a checklist.
  • Inspect, diagnose and perform repair and maintenance of all plant equipment, using a variety of hand tools, power tools, hoists, etc.
  • Checks various equipment chokes & plugs utilizing correct SOPs, safety procedures, tools & equipment
  • Performs labor duties as instructed and keeps working area in clean condition
  • Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries to self and others by observing and practicing all safety policies and procedures, operating practices, and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Locates and troubleshoots problems in the field.
  • Know environmental rules and act to keep plants in compliance.
  • Maintain/repair dust collector systems.
  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections, performs lubrication as assigned, and checks and maintains lubrication systems.
  • Participates and contributes to basic routine root cause analysis on problems based on knowledge of equipment and its function.
  • Performs housekeeping duties as necessary or assigned.
  • Performs all duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Heavy industrial experience/manufacturing experience
  • ARC and MIG welding proficient.
  • College or Vocational Technical Education preferred
  • Minimum 5 yrs. heavy industrial experience/manufacturing experience
  • Requires familiarity w/ plant equipment & its numerical designation w/ ability to follow a lubrication schedule.
  • Must be able to work at heights, climb steps and be in good physical condition.
  • Able to read, understand and implement written instruction.
  • Work occasional evenings or weekends to meet production requirements as needed.
