The Role You Play

As a therapist at Pawnee, you fill one of our most vital roles in the organization – providing mental health services to our clients. You will be part of a great team of fellow clinicians and make lifelong friends and professional contacts – and while you’re here, you will always have someone to consult with, be it a difficult case or just working life in general.

• The Day-to-Day
  1. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions according to your license
  2. Actively collaborate with all other members of the health team on behalf of your clients
  3. Travel may be required according to office of assignment. Travel is fully reimbursed by the company.
  4. Provide expert clinical opinions to other program staff, especially in the community services departments
  5. Meet direct service, administrative, and clinical documentation requirements
• Other Duties as Assigned
  1. Maintain continuing education and attend regular training events
  2. Participate in community events advocating mental health on a voluntary basis
  3. Complete crisis screens if no crisis program staff are available

Who You Are

• Required
  1. Meets the standards of the Kansas BSRB for licensing as an LMSW, LPC, LMLP, or LMFT
     • Temporary licenses are accepted for up to one year
  2. Strong oral and written communication skills using the English language
  3. Basic personal computer skills
  4. Travel to other offices will be required
• Preferred
  1. A license to practice independently
  2. At least one year experience providing individual or family therapy
  3. Experience with Microsoft Office software
  4. Ability to provide addictions counseling

Results of criminal and all other applicable background checks must meet the approval of Pawnee Mental Health Services.
