Our company is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records for our company.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
- Compute and record numerical data
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform high volume data entry and administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to understand double entry accounting
- Strong organizational skills
- High accuracy with working in fast-paced environment
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Fundamental knowledge in Excel and Word
- Fundamental knowledge in Peach Tree or Sage accounting software
- Ten-key efficiency
- Excellent in verbal and written communication skills
- 3 years experience with accounts payable
Wages DOE. Hours 8-5 Monday-Friday.
Chena Power is a company within a multi-company, employee owned corporation. For the last 30+ years it has been a leader in the recycling industry of Alaska. We process and prepare scrap metals from all over the state with a heavy focus in the Fairbanks North Star Borough and the North Slope Borough to be shipped out of Alaska for recycling purposes. We recycle all non-ferrous and ferrous metals. We also buy and sell surplus materials, equipment, tools, and more at competitive pricing to suit the needs of various projects happening in Alaska. It's another way to reuse, reduce, and recycle. Additional businesses under this corporate umbrella are Kodiak Narrow Cape Lodge, Chena Hot Springs Resort, and Pleasant Valley Store.
