The ideal candidate will possess a four-year accounting degree and will be expected to perform the following duties under direct supervision of a CPA:
- Work on assigned segments of audit and accounting engagements.
- In some instances, assume substantial responsibility for small accounting engagements involving prepared, compiled or reviewed financial statements.
- Stay up to date on Firm policies and procedures and the AICPA, Kentucky and other applicable State Boards of Accountancy and Kentucky Society of CPA's rules, regulations and code of ethics.
- Regularly read and be familiar with pronouncements from the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), Governmental Accounting Standard Board (GASB), and the AICPA.
- Progress professionally by working towards passing the CPA examination.
