SEWING OPERATOR / SEAMSTRESS

A&J Custom LLC has been in business for 10 years and is looking for an industrial sewing operator / seamstress.
The ideal candidate is a dedicated worker who has 2+ years of experience in sewing and welding of commercial vinyl products.
Experience may include: JUKI DDL 8700, BABY LOCK BL9 and SEIKO machines.
At times, our business runs 7 days a week, with some overtime required.
The sewing room is located at our warehouse in Stamford, CT,
travel may be required for custom installations.

Please note a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation will be required.

Duties:
- Fabricate and sew fabrics according to specifications
- Measure and cut fabric accurately
- Operate sewing machines and other tools necessary for production
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet standards
- Make alterations and repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a seamstress, sewing operator or similar role
- Proficient in operating sewing machines and other production tools
- Strong knowledge of different fabrics, sewing techniques
- Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills

Pay: From $18.00 per hour - higher per hour rates depending on experience

Experience:

· High-End Luxury Furniture experience 2 years (preferred)

· Retail/General furniture experience 1 year (preferred)

· Manufacturing or assembly experience

· Three to six months of relevant experience (preferred)
