What You'll Do:

As the NFO, you will join our incredible team of experts supporting NAVAIR's PMA-290 (Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft (MPRA) Program). In this role, you will provide input to the PMA-290 Increment 3 (Inc3) leadership regarding the integration and testing of Inc3 combat systems (mission systems, environmental, sensor, mission planning, etc.).


Responsibilities of the NFO will include:

  • Providing expert knowledge on the latest Inc3 mission systems and software, including Minotaur
  • Summarizing results of combat system analysis and investigation, when required, in the form of written and oral briefings
  • Developing improvements to increase the effectiveness of the P-8A Inc3 for ASW, ASuW, CSG Support, and ISR missions
  • Operating P-8A Inc3 systems in various integration labs to support integration and test objectives
  • Additional duties may be assigned to meet the needs of the program office

Requirements

Who You Are:

  • You have a bachelor's degree (this is required)
  • You have at least 6 years of related experience in maritime patrol aircraft; P-8A or EP-3 Naval Flight Officer (NFO) experience is required
  • Experience with Minotaur and/or the MQ-4C Triton program desired
  • You have the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • You are able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • You have experience utilizing software tools for engineering (desired)
  • DoD Acquisition experience is a plus
  • You are able to accommodate moderate travel when needed
  • You are able to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
  • You have professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • You take a proactive approach to your work and you're able to accomplish tasks with limited guidance and supervision
  • You have demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Your organizational skills are impressive, allowing you to manage competing priorities

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
