General Manager

Standard Plumbing Heating Inc. has been a staple in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area since 1971. Family owned and operated with strong core values and a customer first attitude.

We are seeking a proven dynamic leader to join us in the key role of General Manager. This individual will be required to be a licensed plumber in the state of Oregon. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the technician's day to day activities, communication with dispatch, and working with our sells team to achieve and exceed company goals.

When filled this role will receive a private office at our new corporate headquarters opening Mid-October 2023 at the Liberty Center in Portland, Oregon.

Company Performance

• Manage local Company operations to meet or exceed keep Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Instill Company core values and culture through vision, mission, and values training.
• Hold regular employee meetings and functions to foster team development and to communicate key information.
• Identify, hire, train and mentor potential future leaders within the organization.
• Work directly with marketing team to identify areas of most importance.

Communication and Team Reviews

• Be knowledgeable of and compliant with all local, state and federal codes and laws applicable our business, as well as the Company code of conduct.
• Report any significant issues or concerns directly to your superiors immediately upon discovery, especially those which may cause harm to the Company or its employees.
• Conduct prescribed periodic personnel reviews for all direct reports and provide feedback on performance, expectations and areas for development.
• Provide team members with ongoing positive coaching and redirection as needed.
• Develop training programs and plans to support skill development and ensure key managers and team members support and implement the same.
• Work directly with Human Resources to define training needs and support for team members and to ensure a proper, positive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years successful experience leading teams and developing team members.
• Plumbing industry related knowledge and experience.
• Must be organized and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Job Type & Salary

• Full-Time
• Starting $115,000.00 annually
• Salary is negotiable based upon experience.

Weekly day range

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed.
