About this job

Job Description

Who You'll Work With
As a Real Estate Buyer's Agent, you will work with homebuyers, sellers, other real estate agents, loan officers, title companies, and other professionals throughout the real estate industry. You will also connect with homebuyers and sellers on social media, and in person to build relationships and form a network of contacts.

Who You'll Impact
As a Real Estate Buyer's Agent, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on people's lives. You will be responsible for helping potential buyers find the perfect home, negotiating the best terms and price, and making sure the entire process goes as smoothly as possible. Your work will have a direct effect on the lives of those you serve.

Goals You'll Strive Towards
Your main goal as a Real Estate Buyer's Agent is to find and secure homes for homebuyers. You will strive to meet your clients' needs and exceed their expectations. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the home buying process is completed in a timely and efficient manner, while also making sure that your clients understand and feel comfortable with the process.

Responsibilities You'll Have

  • Develop relationships with homebuyers and sellers to understand their needs and preferences
  • Research the real estate market and understand the trends of home values in your area
  • Show prospective buyers listings that meet their criteria
  • Negotiate the best terms and price for home purchases
  • Follow up with clients before, during, and after the transaction to ensure a successful sale
  • Actively devise marketing strategies to ensure a prompt home sale

Core Competencies You'll Need

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and driven by personal achievement
  • Administrative and research skills
  • Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks

What Does Success Look Like
Success in a real estate career looks like consistent transactions and happy clients. As you make more transactions, you will earn more income. After a few years of disciplined work, it's not unusual for a Real Estate Agent to be earning $50000 - $100000 / year or more. The more work you put into establishing a client base, the more money you will earn.

How You'll Know if You're Not Cut Out for Real Estate
If you are not comfortable with networking and building relationships, or if you do not have strong customer service and interpersonal skills, then a career in real estate may not be for you. Additionally, if you are not able to stay organized and manage multiple tasks, then this role may not be the best fit for you.
