Job DescriptionCompany Description
- Supervise and lead the team to deliver fantastic guest service by adhering to all service standards.
- Oversee all day-to-day salon operations.
- Recruit, interview, train, build product knowledge, develop technical and soft skills, and manage performance.
- Resolve all guest complaints and provide solutions to all staff disputes.
- Write all team member schedules, ensuring sufficient coverage and adherence to budget guidelines.
- Meet or exceed financial metrics.
- Analyze salon sales, expenses, and trends using the Point Of Sale (POS) system.
- Spend the designated percentage of scheduled work hours performing hair services on guests and meet personal productivity goals.
- Provide customers with a wide range of hair styling options, from formal to casual.
- Manage and keep inventory under control and within budget
Qualifications.
- 1-2 years of equivalent experience in management or administration
- Holds a professional license in cosmetology within the state of salon practice.
- A minimum of two years of experience providing salon services to clients including in-depth skill and knowledge of hair cutting and coloring techniques and best practices
- Ability to demonstrate advanced organizational skills to manage staff, operations, and salon finances.
- Demonstrates proficiency in multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance.
- General knowledge of bookkeeping and business finance skills.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and team-leading skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the beauty industry and customer needs.
- Interest and ability to continue learning about market standards and changes in trends.
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods and move quickly to accomplish many tasks.
- Ability to lift objects of 30 lbs.
Reporting Structure.
Salon manager reports directly to the salon owner.
Attends monthly salon meetings and development meetings with the salon owner, as scheduled.
