ABOUT HCT

Just about 8 years ago, we started selling Nashville-style hot chicken out of a window in Olde Towne East - we did it every weekend for an entire summer and fall. From there, we opened up on the second floor of the historic North Market downtown, then added multiple locations in Cleveland and Columbus neighborhoods.

Core Responsibilities of this position:

Brand and Culture

  • Supports and upholds HCT Fair Chance Hiring Model
  • Leads by example as a role model for HCT's values and culture
  • Serves as an ambassador to the local community

People and Development

  • Develops crew members through coaching, training, and positive feedback
  • Ensures achievement of proper staffing levels and retention goals
  • Follows HR procedures and guidelines for talent acquisition, compliance, progressive discipline and performance management
  • Team member quarterly check ins
  • Responsible for hiring, firing, and reporting staff changes to HR

Guest Experience

  • Builds authentic, inclusive and gracious relationships with our guests
  • Creates and atmosphere reminiscent of a fun, family reunion - not a fast casual restaurant
  • Delivers year over year sales growth by creating exceptional guest experiences
  • Guest recovery

Food Safety and Quality

  • Ensures all food safety procedures are executed according to health/sanitation regulations; takes corrective action as appropriate
  • Conducts evaluations with Health Department
  • Delivers best-in-class fried chicken that is consistently juicy, crispy, and absurdly flavorful
  • Achieves food cost goals while maintaining the highest recipe integrity

Restaurant Operations

  • Maintains the highest level of operational excellence at all times
  • Maximizes profits by analyzing data and proactively implementing effective improvement plans
  • Completes administration and projects in a thorough and timely manner
  • Accountable for restaurant P+L and accurate forecasting of business
  • Maintains restaurant equipment and facilities for the safety of guests
  • Manages accurate inventory and cost savings measures

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $55,000.00 - $65,000 per year-plus bonus
