We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician to join our team at a leading Critical Access Hospital located in Southern Arizona. As a Physician in our facility, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality medical care to our patients. In this position, you will initially receive a guaranteed salary of $300,000 for the first year, with the compensation transitioning to an RVU-based model from the second year onwards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  2. Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions.
  3. Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  4. Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans, including medication prescriptions, therapies, and referrals to specialists, as needed.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  7. Stay abreast of advancements in medical knowledge, treatment options, and healthcare regulations to provide the best possible care.
  8. Participate in regular meetings, case reviews, and continuing education activities to enhance professional growth and development.
  9. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of medical practice, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  10. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, risk management programs, and accreditation processes within the hospital.

Requirements:

  1. Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  2. Completion of an accredited residency program in a relevant specialty.
  3. Board certification or eligibility in the appropriate medical specialty.
  4. Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Arizona.
  5. Demonstrated clinical competence and expertise in providing acute care services.
  6. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  9. Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
  10. Willingness to embrace a transition to RVU-based compensation from the second year onwards.
