Medsurg Assistant Nurse Manager - Full-time / Part-time

A Magnet designated hospital located in central Connecticut is now searching for an experienced Med Surg Assistant Nurse Manager to join their award-winning healthcare organization. 

This community-based acute care hospital is home to over 150 inpatient beds and provides a wide variety of inpatient, outpatient, primary care, and skilled nursing services. This network services more than 20 locations and supports a growing team of 100 experienced providers throughout the central Connecticut regions. The organization combines a dedicated team of healthcare providers that strive to enhance the overall health of all patients and community residents. 

The Assistant Nurse Manager will Demonstrate leadership by promoting effective working relationships and work cooperatively as a part of the department team to facilitate the department’s ability to meet its goals and objectives. Oversees the day-to-day work flow and patient flow of unit including staffing and staffing assignments. In conjunction with assigned Educator, monitors orientee progress. Keeps Director informed of daily departmental activity, conducts daily staff huddles. Assumes staff nurse responsibilities, when the need arises. Fosters and maintains provider relationships. Communicates effectively among all levels of staff, colleagues throughout the organization.

Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing BSN from an accredited nursing program
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse RN in the state of Connecticut or ability to obtain
• Progressive leadership experience in an inpatient acute care setting
