A leading acute care hospital located in central Vermont is now seeking an experienced Nurse Director Surgical Services to join their award-winning healthcare organization.

This established acute care hospital is home to nearly 300-beds and specializes in more than 35 medical practices. The location offers a full spectrum of inpatient services, including emergency care, surgical services, maternity care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, rehabilitation, behavioral health, and various specialized outpatient services. This facility is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and is committed to improve its services through quality improvement initiatives and patient feedback. 

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Director Surgical Services will oversee clinical and administrative operations of the inpatient surgical services, ambulatory services, pain management, and the infusion center. The department currently operates 6 ORs and is staffed by 70+ FTEs. The Nurse Director will promote high quality patient care, enforce regulatory standards, provide staff evaluations, manage service line budgets, and collaborate with various departments and leadership teams.
